Kalahari Research and Conservation (KRC) is seeking a motivated Botswana citizen to join our conservation team as a Wildlife Intern, based in the Kgalagadi region. This is a hands-on, field-based internship intended for early-career conservationists.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with lion surveys and monitoring
- Supporting wild dog monitoring
- Deploying camera traps and processing camera trap data
- Collecting and managing wildlife field data
- Assisting with basic mapping and reporting
Requirements
- Must be a Botswana citizen- Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science, or similar related degree
- Strong interest in wildlife conservation
- Willingness to work in remote and challenging field conditions
- Valid driving licence
- GIS or mapping experience
- Recent university graduate
