WILDLIFE INTERN – FIELD RESEARCH & MONITORING (6 MONTHS) – Kalahari Research & Conservation (Krc) 1142 views

Kalahari Research and Conservation (KRC) is seeking a motivated Botswana citizen to join our conservation team as a Wildlife Intern, based in the Kgalagadi region. This is a hands-on, field-based internship intended for early-career conservationists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with lion surveys and monitoring
  • Supporting wild dog monitoring
  • Deploying camera traps and processing camera trap data
  • Collecting and managing wildlife field data
  • Assisting with basic mapping and reporting

Requirements

  • Must be a Botswana citizen- Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science, or similar related degree
  • Strong interest in wildlife conservation
  • Willingness to work in remote and challenging field conditions
  • Valid driving licence
  • GIS or mapping experience
  • Recent university graduate
