Key Responsibilities
- Operate and repair wire drawing machines including fault-finding, fitting, and repair of critical parts
- Make or re-machine parts in-house using lathe, mill, grinder
- Perform die changing, setting and maintenance while machine is running
- Ensure correct wire rod / steel grades and rolling stock per product
- Draw wire to BS / EN and equivalent SABS standards
- Work night shifts, weekends and public holidays as required
Requirements
- 5-6 years’ hands-on experience on wire drawing machines
- Must operate AND repair the machine: fault-finding, fitting, repair of critical parts
- Able to make or re-machine parts in-house (lathe, mill, grinder)

- Knowledge of wire rod / steel grades and correct rolling stock per product
- Able to draw wire to BS / EN and equivalent SABS standards
- Basic English. No formal qualification required – skill and experience only
