Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbent will drive the Company’s stakeholder engagement strategy in line with the business plan. This role has a strong focus on local community engagement which is critical to Khoemacau’s license to operate

Key areas of Responsibility
●Identify stakeholders within the defined operational area and profile their needs as well as any associated risks
●Develop and implement appropriate strategies for engaging the stakeholders
●investigate issues ans queries from stakeholders, recommend the appropriate response then facilitate implementation of same
●Conducts risk assessments regarding stakeholder engagement and make recommendations accordingly
●Inducts contractors and employees on community welfare issues
●Identify and recommend opportunities for participation of Company staff in CSI and other community outreach activities
●Coordinates Company CIS activities
●Promotes SHE compliance among staff members and external stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills
●A minimun of a Degree in Sociology or related field
●Minimum of 5 years experience in community Management preferably in a mining environment
●Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and work well independently and within a team
●Knowledge of community structures and the protocol for engaging with such structures
●Negotiating skills
●Must be in possession of a valid Class B Driver’s License
