Job Summary
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities in area of responsibility with a view of ensuring equipment availability and reducing down time
Effectiveness Areas
- Maintenance planning effectiveness – development of sectional maintenance procedures, maintenance schedules, standards, assessment of operational performance, statutory inspections coordination
- Operations effectiveness – treands analysis, equipment criticality classification exercises, inventory control, decommissioning and disposal standards
- Computerized maintenance system development and implementation
- Staff training and development
- Budgetary planning
- Safety, health and environmental effectiveness

Qualifications and Experience
- National Diploma in Instrumentation, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering or National Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Seven years post qualification experience preferably in a mining environment. Three of these should be in a supervisory or similar position
- X-ray machines experience desirable
- A valid driver’s license
