Manager, Records – Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA)

Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) is a parastatal under the Ministry of Tertiary Education Research Science and Technology. It draws its mandate from the BQA Act No.24 of 2013.

Its main objectives are to provide for and maintain a National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF) and to coordinate the Education, Training and Skills Development Quality Assurance System.

To initiate, plan, develop and implement an effective Records Management System for both manual & electronic records and to coordinate, organise and manage standardised information/records to optimise access and availability of information relating to business activities and enhance impact, and interest in keeping information with value.

Position Requirements:

Education;

  • A Master’s Degree in Archives and Records Management or a relevant Information Management qualification acceptable to BQA.
  • Certification in Computerised Records Management will be an added advantage Experience;
  • A minimum of eight (8) years’ work experience in a specialised records or information management agency in a highly computerised environment including 4 years in a supervisory position.
  • Hands on experience on manual and electronic Records Management Systems.

  • Communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and subject-based skills.

 

Remuneration

BQA offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities and challenges of the job.

Terms of employment

Fixed term contract of 1-5 years for managerial positions and above and Permanent and Pensionable terms for officer positions and below.
