Job Purpose
To lead, coordinate and manage the Corporation’s warehousing, inventory and demand planning and materials distribution operations. The position is also charged with ensuring optimal management of operations with reduced stock holding and distribution costs whilst meeting customer demands as well as effective demand planning models for optimal availability of stock.
Business impact – The job holder contributes to corporate strategy with analyses and forecasts of material flows.

Scope – The job holder manages integrated supply chain including production planning, warehousing and procurement / purchasing.
Team size – The job holder manages a single team with up to 10 members.

Identifies shortcomings and suggests improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change management program with guidance from a project/program manager.

Achieves planned commitments by developing short-term and/or medium-term work schedules and approving overtime or using additional resources as needed.
Executes a communications plan by working within established communication systems and procedures.

- A recognized University Degree in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- CIPS Membership will be an added advantage.
General Experience
At least 5 years post qualification experience in Material Management/Supply Chain
