Job Description
- Provide enthusiastic and engaging leadership and direction to the product and sourcing functions
- Oversee the selection, acquisition, and promotion of food products
- Implement an effective order and returns procedure as well as ensuring a competitive advantage through the performance of the merchandiser team
- Effective management of orders and return process
- Responsible to develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Required to keep a close watch on inventory levels and the needs of clients
- Maintain inventory management records
- Required to participate in and play a leading role within trade visits
- Analyze sales trends and adjust product offering accordingly
- Liasing with the National Sales Manager in line with the company’s national sales strategy
- Supply chain management and process optimization
- Managing, mentoring and assisting subordinates of individuals that falls within the merchandising process.
- Managing the performance of indirect reports
- Monitoring the sales histories of various products to maximize efficiency of retail space.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management or similar.
- 5 – 7 yrs relevant experience
- Strong negotiation skills as a self-starter with initiative
- Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
- Good understanding of advertising and management principles
