The incumbent will be responsible to oversee the effective repair and maintenance of all plant with the least disruption to the site. Attempt to achieve maximum availability for each item of plant on site.

Minimum Requirements

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Senior Plant Manager in an open pit mining environment
• Experience in supplier management, warranty management, quality control and plant failure investigations

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of equipment availability and minimize fleet downtime
• Ensure adequate earthmoving equipment stock levels are maintained
• Responsible for the plant business plan
• Responsible for the plant budget
• Ensure proper plant records management
• Responsible for performance management in the department
• Responsible for training and development as well as motivation of staff
• Ensure compliance to Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality policies, procedures and standards
