SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – KOMATSU

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

• Maintain the safety standards as per KMC and Jwaneng Mine Safety Standard File
• Support to KMC and alliance products on site
• Do Pre-Overhaul inspection and draw up a project scope
  
• Assist with drawing up overhaul project plans
  

 

• Draw up parts list for machine overhauls
  
• Maintain a record of inspection and SOW technical information on server
  
• Do weekly machine inspection and submit reports and discuss with customer
  

 

Minimum Skills and Experience Required

• Qualified Electrical Technician with at least five years post qualification
  
• Mechanical understanding of KMC equipment
  
• Valid driver’s license
  
• Must be computer literate, Microsoft Office applications
  
• Must have experience on and knowledge of Allan Bradley PLC systems, ABB variable speed drives
  

 

• Must have above average understanding of Gen 1 and Gen 2 Loader control systems (LINCS)
  
• Above average knowledge of all KMC and alliance product lines
  
• Sound understanding of their maintenance strategies
  
• Sound understanding of open pit mining practices
  
• Must have good understanding of open cast mining
