Reporting to Communications Manager the successful candidate will be expected to develop effective communication plan for key internal stakeholder, namely Orange Money, Internal Communications and Public Relations.

The main duties include but are not limited to

  • To support and achieve the company’s sales target and brand visibility through implementing Below The Line (BTL) Strategy within brand guidelines and customer experience expectations.
  • Maximize off take of campaigns/promotions/products/services through developing “best in class” point of sale material with the Communications Manager & Sales Director/Team.
  • Forecast branded gifts/ merchandise and any other special packs for all areas of the Business.
  • Develop and implement a POS & Visibility tool kit in conjunction with Communications Manager & Sales Director/Sales.

  • Develop communication & POS material in conjunction with Marketing, Sales and key internal stakeholders to support new launches as well as replenishment of communication material.
  • Support sales animation & road shows for the sales team.
  • Consult with other functions externally (Agencies, Dealers & Shops) as necessary to achieve results that are aligned with corporate and functional objectives.
  • Conduct periodically trade & shop visits to assess implementation of POS & Visibility tool kits in key locations (Gaborone & Nationwide).
  • Assess launch success & prepare closing report for major launches e.g. Road shows, Key product and services launched, shop visibility.

  • Develop and manage yearly promotion plan aligned with branded gifts/merchandise in line with brand guidelines, sales feedback and customer’s insights.
  • Manage Trade Marketing budget efficiently & ensure cost policies are applied having in mind optimization between quality & price.
  • Ensure packaging quality is always best in class.
    Manage Budget on promotional costs and all related charges.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (outgoing personality)
  • Experience of project management against set deliverables.
  • Team player and the ability to work across different multi-media platforms and departments.
  • Event management knowledge.

  • Ability to develop and analyse research projects/ post mortem reports
  • Willingness to learn and develop with the role.

Qualifications and experience

  • Marketing/Business Degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a communication/marketing role either in an agency or highly competitive environment.
