Qualifications/ Experience
• At least 8 years management experience within the food industry (retail or food service).
• Computer literacy especially Excel
• Good financial management background
• At least 5 years experience in people management
• Have a thorough understanding of business operations
• At least 5 year’s generalist procurement experience preferably within an FMCG environment and deally within a similar industry as ours.
• Experience in seasonal buying is essential
• Experience in imports and exports in a port and a distr ibution centre.
• Experience in Training of Staff for skills transfer prefer red
• Working Experience of Great Plains Software
Responsibilities
• Execute the strategy of Bidfood at the branch.
• Ensure sales growth and sustainability of the business.
• Maintain and continually improve relations with external stakeholders e.g. suppliers and customers.
• Embrace and implement the multi temp model in business operations
Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate governance and other applicable trading laws.
• Advocate operational excellence in all areas of the business.
• Create a conducive environment for people development and employee satisfaction.
• Assume overall accountability for the transactions of the branch.
• Continually improve branch’s performance on STARS ranking.
• Commit to achieving the advertising and revaluation income budgets
• Buy within the guidelines agreed by the national procurement team
• Coordinate imports from South Africa
• Always get a better deal from suppliers.
• Constantly be on the lookout for new and innovative products that can add value to our business
• Create Broadsheets for National Promotions
• Worktogether with suppliers in the arrangement of Open Days
• Thorough understanding of Food Safety requirements within BFS
• Be available for, and control stock takes.
