VACANCIES AT THE WHEELBARROW NURSERY & TEA GARDEN

 

The wheelbarrow Nursery & Tea Garden, a family run tea garden restaurant in Notwane seeks to recruit the following:

1. BUSINESS MANAGER

DUTIES:
-reports to the.managing director
-ensures that day ti day operations of the plant nursery,guesthouse,tea garden and event place are run according to set standards in order to maximize financial performance and guests satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-Degree/Diploma in Hotel & Hospitality Management,Business Management
-Ability to Communicate at all levels,revenue control,computer skills required.

 

 

2. CHEF

DUTIES:
-Reports to the business Manager
-ensures that quality culinary dishes are served on schedule
-approves all prepared food items that leave the kitchen.
-maximize the productivity of the kitchen
-maintains impeccable cleanliness and hygiene as well as high work and safety standards.
-meets with guests to discuss menus for.special food requirements and special occasions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
-Diploma/NCC in the culinary arts/hotel & catering as well as post qualifications experience
-Ability to Communicate at all levels,plan ahead,team working and guests service skills,staff motivation and development.

 

3. NURSERY MANAGER

DUTIES:
-reports to the.managing director
-oversees that day to day operations of the plant nursery.
-Insures that the plant nursery is maintained in a clean and disease free environment and it is well stocked and gives gret customer satisfaction.
-supervises the growing operation by running an efficient productive team
-cares for the plants, flowers and foliage.
-give advise and recommendations to clients.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
-Digree/Diploma in Agriculture/Plant Science/Horticulture or other relevant discipline with at least 2 years practical experience at deputy nursery manager level.
-Must have a friendly personality,genuine desire to help others,energetic and patient,a professional and calm manner as well as have intergrity and honesty.

4. HOUSEKEEPER

DUTIES:
-Reports to the Business Manager.
-Ensurestha the guests house’s cleanliness,hygiene,tidiness standards are maintained.
-Makes beds and washes laundry.
-Checks in/out and assists guests.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
-Certificate in Hospitality or equivalent with 2 years of experience in any customer-focused establishment such as hotel,guest-house,catering etc.

5. WAITER/WAITRESS

DUTIES:
-Reports to the chef.
-ensures that the garden restaurant is kept clean at all times.
-sets and cleans tables.
-meet ang greet customers
-Take orders and delivers food.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
-Certificate in Hospitality or equivalent with 2 years experience in any customer-focused establishment such as hotel,guest house,catering etc.
-Must have basic knowledge of beer & wine serving.
-be professional and friendly.

6. NURSERY ATTENDANT

DUTIES:
-Reports to the nursery manager.
-responsible for growing and propagating plants and flowers.
-cares for them and maintains plat nursery in a clean and organised environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
– A certificate in forestry or a course in plant propagation,energetic and have a friendly personality.

 

7. GARDNER
DUTIES:
-Reports to the Nursery Manager
-responsible for keeping the garden and tidy.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-JC and 3 years experience.
-Hardworking and reliable with knowledge and interest in gardening.
