HEAD OF PRIMARY SCHOOL – Gaborone International School

Gaborone International School consists of a Pre-School, Primary School, and High School. We follow the National Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) syllabus in the Primary School and the Cambridge IGCSE as well as AS Level syllabi in the High School. The offered curricula enable each learner to compete at international levels and embrace the world with confidence. The school has an outstanding performance of a 100% pass rate in PSLE and the Cambridge Curricula. We are currently recruiting for the following management positions;

HEAD OF PRIMARY SCHOOL
Reports to the Executive Head. The purpose of this job is to provide leadership, direction, and coordination within the school. The successful incumbent’s main focus should be to develop and maintain effective educational programs within the school and to promote the improvement of teaching and learning within the school. This job requires effective management of all aspects in a school, such as financial, academic, marketing, and human resource management.
Requirements: A degree in Education and a Master’s will be an added advantage. Should have at least 10 years experience of which 5 should be as Deputy Principal in a Private School.

Summary of duties:
⦁ Academic management. Provide strategies that will support the learning environment to archive academic excellence.
⦁ Build a results-driven school and facilitates academic achievement in the Primary school.
⦁ Facilitate Human Resources strategies in the Primary school.
⦁ Drive growth in the Primary school.
⦁ Provide a customer relations environment within the school.
⦁ Adhere to and comply with OHS policies.
⦁ Drive financial and marketing activities within the school
⦁ Provide innovative methods that can enhance learning.
