First Capital Shared Services Ltd is looking to hire a motivated Officer, IT Applications to join its IT Team, reporting to the Head, Group IT Applications.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing mission-critical financial applications including RTGS, Cheque Truncation, and MAUCAS. The role involves ensuring system availability, managing incidents, coordinating with vendors, and contributing to application upgrades and enhancements. The selected candidate will also work directly on financial transaction systems and payment processing workflows, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for RTGS, Cheque Truncation, and MAUCAS applications.
- Monitor application performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues in coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
- Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests related to financial applications.
- Participate in change management processes, including testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Assist in the integration of payment systems with core banking and other platforms.
- Support upgrades, patches, and enhancements to improve functionality and security.
- Ensure applications comply with regulatory and security standards.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Liaise with business units, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide guidance to users on application functionalities and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in IT, with at least 2 years of proven experience in Application Support, preferably in the banking sector or Financial Services.
- Hands-on experience with RTGS, Cheque Truncation, and MAUCAS systems.
- Good understanding of payment processing, transaction workflows, and financial messaging standards.
- Familiarity with SQL, scripting, and basic system administration.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
