MMG-Khoemacau, Khoemacau Copper Mining Pty Ltd is a copper and silver mining company operating in the Kalahari Copper Belt in north-western Botswana. The company runs the Khoemacau underground mine near the town of Maun, extracting high-grade copper and silver deposits. Originally established as Khoemacau Copper Mining, the company was acquired by MMG Limited in 2023 and now operates as a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-listed mining group. Its operations contribute significantly to Botswana’s mining sector and regional employment in the North-West District. The mine represents one of the few new copper developments in Southern Africa in recent years.
