Introduction

Wilderness Air is looking for three self-motivated team players who are dedicated and are full of enthusiasm to occupy the positions of loadmaster/Porter.

The three successful individuals will be based in Kasane (1 individual) and Maun (2 individuals).

Purpose of the Job

Carrying out ramp and loadmaster functions, duties and activities in support of the safe, punctual, efficient and proper functioning of the Company’s flight operations and in accordance with the Company’s Ground Support policies and procedures

Key Performance Areas:

•Ensuring the care, cleanliness, preparation and readiness of aircrafts for flight operations.
•Ensuring the safe, proper and efficient handling of passengers and luggage.
•Ensuring the safe, proper and efficient handling of departing and arriving freight
•Ensuring the care, cleanliness and neatness of company ground support vehicles and equipment.
•Ensuring that they always keep a working radio at all times when on the ramp.
•Ensuring adherence to all CAAB regulations concerning all areas affiliated with their day to day duties.
•Actively practicing safety on the ramp and airside by ensuring that the airside activities are carried out safely and correctly in accordance with published policies and procedures.

•Ensuring that specified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn whenever it is required.
•Ensuring that awareness, identification and reporting of any hazards, occurrences, incidents or accidents are promptly reported to the Ground Operations Manager or to the Safety Officer.
•Responsible and accountable to checking the daily flight schedule, the daily duty allocation and being fully aware of allocated duties for each day as well as practicing punctuality and ensuring to advise management when ill or when unable to report for duty

Requirements

Minimum Requirements – evidence of:

•BGCSE (Form 5 Certificate).
•At least 1 years’ experience in a similar position and/or in aviation sector is preferred, but willingness to learn is also acceptable.
•A holder of a valid drivers License, PDRP passenger license would be an added advantage.
