Kamoso Africa (Kamoso) – Human Resources Manager

• Formulation and implementation of policies and procedures
• Handling of work permits for expatriates and communication with local authorities
• Employee relations management
• Payroll management using Sage VIP Payroll Software
• Development and maintenance of incentives and commission structures

• Development and maintenance of the HR budget
• Reporting as part of the EXCO and to the board
• Performance management – deliver performance management programs that drive a high performance culture
• Recruitment and selection – direct and manage the recruitment and selection process and train line managers in interviewing and assessment procedures
• Learning and development – implement and monitor effectiveness of training programs
• Reporting and management of human resources reports

• Leadership – mentor direct reports and provide coaching to help them reach their potential

• Degree in Human Resources or Public Administration or any related course. A master’s degree will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of Sage VIP payroll system

Attributes for the role:

• A demonstrated track record in developing and implementing strategic business and HR objectives within a complex multi-business organisation
• Exco/Board level reporting experience

• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Superior interpersonal, coaching, communication, negotiation and consultative skills at all levels

Kamoso Africa (Kamoso) is a diversified consumer facing retailer and manufacturer/distributor operating primarily in Botswana. It consists of eight businesses: a building products retailer, chain of liquor stores, a supplier of food and FMCG products, supplier of refrigeration and catering equipment, a distributor of medical products, a bottler of drinking water, a manufacturer of tissues and a miller of grains.

The Company has over $100m in annual revenues. A key cluster of the Group comprises of businesses that are suppliers to various retail outlets. The company is based in Botswana but also provides goods and services to South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe with plans to expand into Namibia and Mozambique.
