Responsibilities for Human Capital Manager
1. Provide strategic consulting on people strategies, organization development and other Human Resources specific or business initiatives for a defined business or operational area
2. Make sure employee contracts are aligned to relevant employment legislation and communicate any changes in legislation to staff.
3. Foster best practice discussions among project team members and end users to realize process improvements and workforce efficiencies
4. Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
5. Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
6. Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding
7. Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities and perform at their best levels and the organisation maintains its partnership competency requirements
8. Serve as the key resource to assist managers in developing human resources reports and pulling information necessary for their operations
9. Identify through elements to increase productivity, employee performance, and employee satisfaction and design metrics to track the effectiveness of these initiatives
10. Ensure that the HR guidelines, policies and procedures are properly followed and applied
11. Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all regulations
12. Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
13. Maintain HR systems and processes
Qualifications
14. Bachelor degree in psychology, human resources or related field
15. Certifications in talent assessment tools, talent management and/or human resources is an added advantage
16. Minimum 2-3 years HR managerial experience
17. Analytical skills- Ability to problem solving and problem analysis
18. Effective verbal and written communication skills
19. Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
20. Experience with any human resources management information system (HRIS) and payroll system
21. Experience with HR in an IT organizations will be added advantage
