experience and qualifications

  • COP, ICiBS, AAT.
  • Degree in business, Finance, insurance or related programme or Diploma in Insurance or related programme.
  • At least +5 years in insurance management.
  • Understanding of the key features of relevant laws and regulations of Botswana.
  • Knowledge of ACTS relevant to the insurance industry.

responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue targets by growing existing base and by acquiring new clients.
  • Tasked with growing the noninterest revenue (NIR) and profit before tax (PBT).
  • Manage product profitability involving continuous monitoring of costs (cost savings, cost income and income statement preparations) using the retail budget.
  • Provide Exceptional service that exceeds customer expectation via innovative, proactive and most appropriate solutions.
  • Oversee escalation processes to address client queries and where necessary assist the team to resolve client queries.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external parties to support the sales and service strategy. Negotiate and manage contracts and SLA’s with partners for the benefit of the bank and the customers.

  • Provision of expert knowledge on industry best practices.
  • Strategy development and implementation of insurance business unit.
  • Proactively determine product and system gaps (centralization of insurance processes) and work with key stakeholders to resolve these before clients complain.
  • Manage customer service consultant for efficient resolution of all customer queries within agreed timelines.
