HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Description
The Human Resources Officer position reports to the Director Human Resources, with his/her core responsibilities being to participate in the formulation of departmental action plans and budgets. The successful incumbent will be expected to coordinate PEEPA’s recruitment, selection, training and development programme. He/she will be tasked with facilitating the implementation of PEEPA’s pay and performance management strategy. As Human Resource Officer you will be expected to liaise with the Finance Department on payroll issues and ensure that all changes to payroll are sanctioned and recorded.

To be considered for this position you will need at least a Degree in Human Resources Management from a recognised institution or any other equivalent qualification acceptable to PEEPA. This must be coupled with at least 7 years’ experience in Human Resource Management. The candidate must be a member of a recognised HR professional organisation. In addition to the above the candidate must be computer literate and have a grasp of labour laws and legislation in Botswana. The successful candidate shall have proven knowledge of HR practices and processes, be service and results oriented, innovative, decisive and have excellent planning and budgeting skills.

The above position is offered on a contract basis.
