SEMI-SKILLED BOILERMAKER – MUPANE GOLD MINING

Mupane Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd (MGM) is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Canadian TSX Venture Exchange-listed company GALANE GOLD LTD, a gold producer and explorer with its operations in the Republic of Botswana.

The Mupane Gold Mine is located approximately 50 kilometres by road from Francistown in northeastern Botswana. In continuous operation since 2005, MGM has recently increased the operational life of mine and exploration activities are on-going to pursue further opportunities to develop additional resources.

The company invites applications for the following position:-

SEMI-SKILLED BOILERMAKER

Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman, the preferred candidate should have Trade B in Boilermaking coupled with five (5) years post apprenticeship in Boilermaking and experience in maintenance on a fixed plant operation in a mining environment.

The key performance areas of the job are:-

• Carry out pipe work and development
• Have knowledge and understanding of sheet metal work
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of tig, mig and gas welding
• Proficient arc welder
• Must be flexible to long hours of work
• Good knowledge of fabrication and welding

The successful candidate should have excellent technical knowledge and skills, including strong organisational and operational skills with the ability to communicate with others and a “team orientated” approach to the achievement of tasks.
