SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – OLD MUTUAL BOTSWANA

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (Permanent position)

This role is responsible for managing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, within the project governance framework. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through the efforts of others, for periods of 3 months to 1 year.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

•Apply financial management disciplines to all work, bearing in mind that ROI is an important aspect
•Ensure delivery of the required product(s) for each project, phase or stage
•Ensure delivery within agreed time and cost tolerances
•Manage the people, processes and technology required to deliver solutions effectively according to the project requirements
•Plan and manage the deployment of resources to meet project milestones
•Responsible for managing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost
•Apply quality management principles and processes
•Build and sustain effective communication with other roles involved in the project as required
•Ensure projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage
• Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfil the role of change sponsor
•Lead and manage large, complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple Agile teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the Agile team
•Identify quick win opportunities as well as strategic initiatives where IT can assist the business to improve management of the programme portfolio to which you are assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Degree in Project Management or related field
•10 or more years working experience in managing large and complex projects
•Most experience should be in the project management space
•Accredited Project Management qualification and portfolio management will be an added advantage
•Experience in utilising project management tools and experience on IT projects
