A new position of Concession Manager – Couple has become available for the Linyanti Concession. The role is ideally suited to a couple that can complement each other in ensuring that Linyanti camp management get the full support required to run their camps at the highest level possible and maintain the high standards set. We wish to invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the below position.

CONCESSION MANAGER – COUPLE (BUSH BASED)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The role will encompass management of the overall daily operational expenses, involvement in planning and management of the camp budgets. Ensuring that the camps are maintained and run to the best interest of the staff, Wilderness Safaris as the management company, the owners of the camp as well as meeting and exceeding the guest’s expectations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
•The Concession Manager reports to the General Manager-Botswana Region.
•The role does have supervisory responsibilities – Camp General Managers and Technical Services Manager report to Concession manager.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
•Overall efficient operation and management of the lodges/camps – including all front of house, and back of house functions.
•Operating according to and in compliance with – Wilderness Safaris standard of operations, company policies and procedures, and WS code of conduct.
•Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of funds.
•Retain, motivate and develop the teams as well as maintaining a high level of asset control
•Manage the activities of the concession in accordance to the planned strategy.
•Monitor and manage the welfare of the staff.
•Ensure through active engagement with the camps, that the guest experience is maximized and the Wilderness standards are being adhered to.
•Motivate and support the team with enthusiasm and leadership
•Manage the workshop to ensure that all assets are being maintained and that all planned maintenance programs are being completed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

•A Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in hospitality and or business management studies.
•Minimum of 7 years of management experience in the related field.
•Proven experience in managing multiple properties, assets (including roads, airstrips, solar plants, Sewerage treatment plants and other related assets), wildlife monitoring and staff compliment in remote locations.
•Leadership skills, specifically in managing diverse management teams.
•Local neighboring community relations
