QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER wanted at Micro Finance Botswana

We are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer Reporting to the finance Manager, the successful candidate wifi be responsible lor the following tail.

• Review of customer application packs to ensure compliance with credit policies.
• Review of Micro-lending Regulations to ensure compliance.
• Review of AML policies and procedures and ensuring compliance thereof
• Providing periodic reports to Management in relation to the above
• Enforcing of corrective action in relation to anomalies found.
• Drafting of Policy Frameworks in order to ensure compliance with the above
• Ensuring there is a sound level of Internal Controls throughout the organisation;
• Travelling to Sales Kiosks and Offices across the country to perform the review.
• Ad Hoc tasks and investigations at the request of Management

Qualities required

The successful candidate must be organised, have attention to detail be able *c work on their own initiative and be flexible. They must be a confident self-started

It is important that they can prioritise tasks and work with urgency to achieve set deadlines. They must be able to foster good relationships with colleagues ana various internal and external stakeholders. They must be able to travel throughout Botswana.

They must also be able to work with a high level of confidentiality and to produce reports with a high level of proficiency in the English language

Qualifications and Expertise

• Possession of either Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or CIA Qualification is essential;
• BGCSE (or equivalent) Grade C in Mathematics, English and Setswana is essential;
• 5 years of Audit/ Forensic/ Compliance/ Risk Management Experience is essential;
• Familiarity with the NBFIRA Act and Financial Intelligence Act is essential
• Full Driving License;
• Previous experience of working in a Microfinance or Financial Services Organisation is advantageous.
