Scania Botswana (Pty) Ltd is the distributor for Scania heavy commercial trucks, buses and engines in Botswana Scania operates from two dealerships in Botswana with a total of 5 service locations

The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing and development of Scania’s overall commercial – sales operations He/she is responsible for Implementing targets, policies and common standards while promoting the Scania brand and for guiding and supporting the Salesforce in a solution sales approach.

Location: Gaborone Botswana

Reporting to: Managing Director.

The successful candidate must be able to provide proof of below

• Education In a relevant discipline or Relevant business experience and technical knowledge in relevant Market
• Sound knowledge and experience of Botswana business and business culture.
• Extensive managerial and leadership experience Good strategic and people management skills
• Understanding of legal compliances related to Finance and the Commercial Vehicle market.
• Understanding of legal compliances related to Finance and the Commercial Vehicle market
• Effective negotiation and influencing skills
• Advanced customer relationship management.
• Clear understanding of management accounts and budget forecasts

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Develop the Scania solution sales business through effective marketing activities
• Develop and implement improvement strategies to maximise market penetration and profitability.
• Prepare business plans, budgeting and forecasts
• Manage personnel requirements
