Reservations & Product Development Manager – Desert & Delta Safaris

Desert & Delta Safaris would like to invite suitably qualified, innovative, hard working and self-driven individuals to apply for the position of Reservations & Product Development Manager

The candidate should possess significant international travel experience in the Botswana and Southern Africa travel industry and importantly have a strong foundation in direct consumer travel sales as well as trade sales. The role will involve a process of improving the current sales systems, training and developing reservations staff and developing a wider range of properties and regions within the portfolio. Destination knowledge and experience will therefore be an added advantage

Experience

• Around five years of experience In tourism with a strong foundation in selling Botswana and Southern Africa to international travellers.
• Sales-driven with a proven track record in the ability to grow skills within a team
• Proven track record in building relationships and strong personable skills in dealing with clients

Key Effective Areas

• Develop and execute product portfolio, sales training and systems improvement/implementation

• Engage regions and products in contracting ‘and developing business relationships
• Reporting to the Managing Director and  closely with the Reservations Team leader
• Engaging individuals within the sales team for growth and steering the company with new opportunities
• Bringing targets with goals and energy and pass on to the sales team.
