Position: Application Developer (12 Months Temp)

Botswana Insurance Invites applications from suitably experienced & qualified candidates for the position of;

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of ICT, is responsible for providing additional help and support with the transition of applications, forms, workflows, and solutions to SharePoint Online as well as to perform development work for new/existing solutions to support the business needs.

Major Responsibilities

• Develop applications using Office 365 platform; SharePoint Online; Power Automate; PowerApps; PowerBI
• Assist with migrating and transitioning sites, applications, forms, workflows and solutions to SharePoint Online
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving development issues that arise

• Deliver enhanced functionality, aid with new implementations, and provide continuous support within the scheduled time while preserving system integrity required.
• High degree of initiative, creativity, and technical ability to function on this team required.
• Ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

• Experience developing and supporting Info Path forms and SharePoint Designer workflows (2010 and 2013)
• Experience building forms with Power Apps and Automation Workflows using Power Automate
• SharePoint Development Framework (SPFx) solutions

• Experience administering and supporting both SharePoint On-premise and SharePoint Online environments

• Experience working in a Microsoft 365/SharePoint Online government tenant.
• General Understanding of Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Bl, Teams, Azure).
