CREDITORS CLERK – Botswana Guardian Sun

The position requires a candidate who will be responsible for managing a company’s accounts payable process, ensuring that suppliers and creditors are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices for payment.
• Match supplier statements with company records and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payment batches (EFTs) and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Monitor company expenses and ensure they align with budgets.
• Liaise with suppliers to handle queries and resolve payment issues.
• Assist with audits, generate reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma in Accounting, or related field
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Pastel) and Microsoft Excel.
• Accuracy in data entry and financial records.
• Strong ability to work with numbers and financial transactions.
• Ability to resolve discrepancies and manage supplier disputes.
• Strong verbal and written skills for liaising with suppliers.
