BUSINESS INTELIGENCE SPECIALIST – ORANGE

VACANCY 

Role Overview

• Responsible for providing business reporting, analysis, and insights through the design, implementation, and management of organisation-wide business big data systems.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect, ingest, transform, and analyse data to uncover insights for business decision-making.

Main Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Big Data solutions, and ensuring compliance with the data protection act and regulatory requirements.

• Designing and automating pipelines in support of data and analytics projects, including integrating new data sources into the data lake/warehouse.

• Designing, implementing, and managing databases to ensure high availability and data integrity.

• Leading and coordinating all business intelligence-related projects and ensuring compliance with data integrity standards.

• Working closely with internal business and technical stakeholders to ensure objectives, priorities, and key requirements are understood and agreed upon.

• Effectively communicating data trends, inconsistencies, and unavailability to executive management.

• Ensuring timely delivery of business reports and data accuracy.

• Knowledge of IT programming (SQL, MySQL, R) and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• Academic level: Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems / Business Intelligence / Data Analytics and Science.

• Professional certification in relevant big data technologies and data analysis will be an added advantage.

• A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.

• Minimum experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a data analytics environment with emphasis in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics / Big Data.
