Key Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, reliability, and lifecycle management of mobile equipment.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
• Oversee major rebuilds, overhauls, and commissioning
• Manage workshops, mobile maintenance teams, and technical staff
• Ensure compliance with the Mines, Quarries, Works and Machinery Act.
• Enforce HSE systems, statutory inspections, and mine client standards
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
• Manage engineering budgets, spares, and procurement
• Liaise with mine site management and regulatory authorities
• Prepare technical, safety, and compliance reports

Requirements

• BEng (Honours) Degree in Industrial Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
• Registration with ERB with current practising licence a must.
• Minimum 12-15 years post-graduate experience.
• Project Management Certification – PMP, a prerequisite.
• Maintenance Certification, e.g CMRP, a prerequisite.
• Proven fleet management experience (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of open-pit mining operations.
• Understanding of Botswana mining legislation and HSE standards
• Valid driver’s licence
