To design, build and govern the application and implementation of predictive models of operational losses to enable the business to anticipate and prevent actual operational losses.
The Individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following;
- Implement and maintain sound business processes that reduce and monitor risk
- Ensure closure of all audit findings and proactively develop solutions to potential risks. (Outcome of the audit report and or Closure of audit findings)
- Implement and manage a governance structure that will govern the implementation and application of the risk models
- Monitor and review credit appetite for Retail. Commercial, WesBank and RM8
- Coordinate and complete relevant reports, presentations & speeches and Interact with the underlying business units on behalf of the Director of Credit for Information Input.
- Design and build predictive models to anticipate and prevent operational losses across FRG
- Definition, development and maintenance of practice policies, procedures, standards and frameworks to innovatively and effectively manage practices and processes
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team In order to Improve Innovation and achieve efficiencies
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external parties to support the sales strategy
- Development of a service culture which builds rewarding relationships proposes Innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
- Manage own development to increase own competencies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Honours Degree (Master’s preferred) In Data Science. Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or related
- 8-10 years’ experience with SAS, statistics, regressive and behavioural modelling and quant technical skills in a senior position
