GENERAL NURSING (MED & SURG) wanted at Sidilega Private Hospital

To promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process. Identify patient care requirement by establishing personal rapport with potential actual patients.

1. Provide relevant health education to clients to meet their health needs.
2. Respond appropriately and assist in emergency situations.
3. Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements
4.Provide a patient-centered care while seeking opportunities for improvement of processes and treatment.
5.Accurately documented all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications, discharge instructions and follow-up care and ensuring continuity among nursing teams.
6.Assures quality care to clients by adhering to therapeutic standards measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards
7.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with infection prevention and control procedures, rules, and regulations; and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
8.Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
9.Demonstrate professional judgement and accountability towards themselves, clients and their profession
10.Provide effective cost management by managing all stock used, equipment inventories and hours of work in accordance with company policies and protocols.
11.To provide health education to clients, which is relevant to their health needs.

•At least 3 years’ post qualification experience in a similar position.
•Basic Life Support [BLS], Advanced Cardiac Life Support [ACLS] certifications, Added advantage Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS], ITLS
•Current Registration with nurses and midwifery Council of Botswana.
