Finance Manager – Chartered Accountant

 

Opportunity exists for a high calibre Chartered Accountant to fulfil the role of a financial manager within a division of a broader group. This role requires both strong technical financial and operational skills and experience as well as the acumen to report to both internal management and external stakeholders.

Key requirements:

• A fully qualified and experienced CA is essential with at least 10 years post qualification experience at a senior level;
• Proven track record as Financial Manager level in a large entity;
• Solid experience and ability to execute at the highest level in all aspects of financial reporting and management, including IFRS compliant annual financial statements, financial disciplines, systems, controls, compliance, risk management, governance, reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, technical accounting issues, treasury, funding, taxation, foreign exchange, IT and audit management.
• Experience in dealing with property investments, developments and funding;
• Experience in the board, corporate and other stakeholder reporting;
• Exposure to strategic decision making and analyses.
• Understanding of Botswana corporate and regulatory environment;
• Excellent communication and people management skills.

The following experience is highly advantageous:

• Internal and external audit experience;
• Enhancing systems and risk management;
• Experience in Africa outside South Africa;
• Functional knowledge of different types of ownership structures and legal entities;
• Feasibilities and scenario analyses.
• Debt origination, negotiations and agreements;
• MDA IT system;
• Cross jurisdictional tax considerations.
