FLEET MANAGER
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you shall manage the transport fleet in a manner which best meets the operational requirements of the company.

Your principal responsibilities shall include the following:
- Manage the maintenance of the fleet to reduce incidences of vehicle breakdowns and maximize the running life of company vehicles.
- Prepare a vehicle maintenance plan and ensure strict servicing times to minimize downtime and maintains schedules as per manufacture requirements.
- Ensure registering and licensing of all vehicles under line of responsibilities.
- Maintain an up to date record of the company fleet asset register, for accountability of the company fleet at all
- Ensure adherence with Government Transport and Traffic Regulations, to reduce incidences of non compliance resulting in business delays.
- Ensure compliance with driving safety standards as per Bolux Group standards, to reduce risk to company employees, vehicles, and property.
- Analyse and interpret cost control conducting through relevant calculations and comparisons, to determine fleet costs relative to sales revenue.
- Manage overall fuel consumption in order to monitor costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Analyse driving hours to ensure effective use of available staff, while adhering to safety standards and practices.
- Assist in the recruitment of quality Drivers for proper fleet management.
- Monitor training and development of staff, to meet overall performance objectives.
- Avail required information and reports to facilitate Management decision making.
- Monitor car tracker and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate departmental stock checks as well as monthly stock take for reconciliation and identification of variances.
- Participates actively in the implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs in order to contribute to company compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
Education / Professional Background
- Degree in Logistics and Transport Management or equivalent.
- Certificate in Fleet Management will be an added advantage.
- Excellent supervisory skills.
- Competent in Microsoft word and Excel.
- Valid Driving License is essential.
Experience
The position requires a minimum of six (6) years post qualification experience in the FMCG industry of which 2 years must have been at Managerial Level.
