ELECTRICIAN – Bolux Group

Bolux Group requires the services of a qualified, experienced

ELECTRICIAN

Reporting to Electrical Foreman, you shall have the responsibility to undertake reactive and preventative electrical maintenance work for the Mill, Pasta and site to ensure that it runs efficiently.

Your principal responsibilities shall include the following:

• Undertake daily inspection of key machinery as part of the preventative maintenance program.
• Complete job cards and registers as required by legislation and regulations.
• Undertake electrical equipment installations, locate and repair faults in all electrical installations and equipment.
• Lay / run cables and wire electrical panel in accordance with regulations.
• Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade measuring instruments.
• Carry out electrical maintenance and assembling relevant to heavy current equipment and machine or fabricate parts for such equipment.
• Request for spares components for use in maintenance work.
• Strip and overhaul of motors and machinery.
• Read and interpret simple electrical specifications, wiring and circuit diagrams and building plans.
• Perform electronic maintenance and programming of PLC’s.
• Undertake AC drive installations.
• Inspect, test, commission and maintain electrical installation and equipment.
• Load cells and amplifier cards.
• Undertake Flow meter calibrations and pressure switch calibrations,
• Supervise and transfer skill to any apprentice and semi-skilled worker assigned to him to ensure safety and quality work.
• Participates actively in the implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs in order to contribute to company compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.

Education / Professional Background

• National Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.

Experience

• The position requires a minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience.
