The Botswana Examinations Council Pension Fund (BECPF) is looking to engage services of an Independent Trustee to serve on the Board of the Trustees.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATES
The Candidate should not bean employee of BEC, agent or shareholder to any service provider of the Fund.
The Candidate should not bean Independent Trustee in more than one Fund.
REQUIREMENTS
♦ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related;
♦ Ability to understand strategic issues, accept legal duties, liabilities and responsibilities of a Trustee;
♦ Have sound knowledge of corporate governance, sufficient time and commitment to fulfil the role;
♦ Should be well versed in retirement funds and insurance issues; and
♦ Have strong communication skills.
EXPERIENCE
♦ At least 10 years working experience in retirement fund/financial services
♦ Experience as a Board member/Trustee will be an added advantage
Possession of a professional qualification such as CIMA, CFA, CFP or with a professional and/or working background in risk management and compliance will be an added advantage.
BOARD TENURE
♦ The IndependentTrustee shall hold office for four years.
