Air Botswana was established through the Act of Parliament of 1988 and became the nation’s flag carrier. As the national airline, it is fully owned by Government of Botswana and it operates passenger and cargo services domestically and regionally. Its operations are regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana and it is a member of the International Airline Transport Association (IATA).
