Where the borders of Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa meet, exists one of the brightest stars in Botswana’s tourism universe, Mashatu Game Reserve. Mashatu is located within the Northern Tuli Game Reserve and is the largest employer in eastern Botswana, with over 220 members of the team. This 31000 ha (76600 ac) expanse of pristine wilderness, is guardian to some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa. Mashatu is famous for daily sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena, black-backed jackal and African wildcat, tracked down by our guides with an average employment of 14 years on Mashatu.
Mashatu offers the choice of four completely different camps; Mashatu Tent Camp, Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu, Mashatu Lodge and the brand new Mashatu Euphorbia Villas. Guests are also invited to completely immerse their senses in the wilderness as they explore the reserve on foot, on horseback, on mountain bikes or in the PhotoMashatu underground photographic hide.
