IT technical support Officer X 2 (tenable in Palapye & Gaborone) Reporting to the branch Manager the successful candidate will ensure for the implementation of the security policy and ensure the proper use of Networks and IT from business departments and its protection against external threats.
Duties
• Provide user support
• Provide technical support to the Fund computer systems in place
• Configure and deploy IT equipment
• Installs, maintain, troubleshoot and update software and ensure that all software’s are licensed
• Monitor IT systems to ensure system functionality and availability to all users
• Ensures antivirus functionality and apply repairs as required to ensure that user computers are updated as required
• Maintain inventory of computer equipment, software and computer consumables
• Assist with the preparation of operating budgets based on estimated ICT expenditure and support needs
Requirements and Qualifications
• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• IT Professional Certification and ITIL knowledge will be an added advantage
• 2 years’ work experience in technical support environment and knowledge of help desk systems and procedures
• Valid Botswana light duty driver’s license
