We are seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. In a five-star environment, precision behind the scenes directly supports the luxury experience delivered to our guests. In this role, you will handle daily financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate possesses strong numerical skills, a deep understanding of hospitality accounting systems, and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in a high-volume, premium service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Processing: Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliations of night audit reports, bank statements, credit card processing, and petty cash.
  • Supplier & Guest Queries: Professionally handle vendor inquiries regarding payments and assist the front office or guest relations with billing discrepancies.
  • Invoice Management: Verify, code, and enter supplier invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct departmental allocation.
  • Audit Support: Assist the Financial Controller in preparing weekly financial reports, monthly tax submissions, and year-end audit schedules.
  • Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, food and beverage, and front office teams to resolve cost or inventory variances.

Requirements

  • Education: AAT fully qualified or ACCA part qualified required. A Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency in standard accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, or SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) like Opera is highly advantageous.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and zero tolerance for numerical errors.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight month-end deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fitting for a five-star corporate environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
