Key Responsibilities

• To prepare management accounts (monthly, quarterly and annually) of the parent and subsidiary companies in compliance with IFRS
• To maintain the General Ledger
• To assist in the budgeting process
• To conduct basic analysis and provide financial insights to management to support business decisions
• To directly supervise and review the finance team’s work
• To ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
• To prepare monthly reconciliations and ensure variances are corrected timeously
• To ensure key daily operational processes are performed for timely and accurate monthly reporting
• To assist with tax compliance and computations
• To ensure regulatory compliance through timely payments and submissions of returns
• To implement cost control measures and ensure adherence to them
• To provide support and oversight into financial reporting for the Operations department
• To provide administrative support to the business

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or related qualifications
• At least 3 year’s experience in Accounting role
• Adept computer skills and proficiency using programs like QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact regularly with clients
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining clear, accurate and meticulous financial records
• Multitasking and attention to detail to successfully handle multiple accounts, invoices and payments at various stages of execution
• Class B Driver’s License an added advantage
• BICA membership an added advantage
