Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Response & Patient Care: Provide advanced life support interventions, patient assessment, stabilization, treatment, and safe transport of critically ill and injured patients in emergency situations.
- Clinical Leadership: Supervise and support Basic Life Support (BLS) and Intermediate Life Support (ILS) personnel, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, quality standards, and best practices.
- Flight Medical Services: Participate in air medical evacuations and provide advanced in-flight patient care during inter-facility transfers and emergency evacuations.
- Occupational Health Services: Assist with workplace medical support, emergency preparedness, health surveillance, and occupational health initiatives at client sites.
- Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to established clinical guidelines, maintain accurate patient care records, participate in clinical audits, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Training & Development: Facilitate training sessions, clinical simulations, and continuing professional development activities for EMS personnel while promoting adherence to current emergency care guidelines.

Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Medical Care or equivalent qualification recognized by the Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC).
- Registered as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic with the Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC).
- Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience in emergency medical services, preferably in both pre-hospital and accident & emergency settings.
- Valid Class B Driver’s Licence (Code C1/C preferred and will be an added advantage).
- Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, PHTLS and/or ITLS will be added advantages.
- Experience in air medical services and occupational health will be an added advantage.
- Clinical Excellence: Demonstrated competence in advanced life support procedures, critical care, trauma management, and medical emergencies.
