APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT TRUSTEE TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VIVO ENERGY BOTSWANA STAFF PENSION FUND

The Vivo Energy Botswana Staff Pension Fund is looking to engage the services of an Independent Trustee to serve on its Board of Trustees.

Qualifications and Eligibility of Candidates

The candidate should be an individual who is not an employee of Vivo Energy Botswana, its subsidiaries/ related entities or any service provider to the Fund.

The incumbent will be responsible for working with the Board of Trustees in achieving the objectives of the Fund, and in actively participating in Trustee meetings with the intention to add value and bring innovative ideas that can assist the Fund to deliver sustainable long-term results to the members of the Fund.

Requirements

• All candidates should have relevant experience and expertise in the following areas, and should fulfill the following requirements:
• Ability to understand strategic issues and accept the legal duties and responsibilities of a Trustee Sound knowledge of investment and/or risk management skills
• At least 5 years working experience in the financial services environment
• Should be well vested in pension and insurance issues
• Basic knowledge of the NBFIRA Act, Retirement Funds Act, Trust Act and any other relevant Acts The individual must be of good standing to be approved by the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) as a Trustee
• Candidates who possess the following will have an added advantage:
• Previous Board membership and Trusteeship A professional and/or working background in finance, investments, risk management and/or compliance

Board Tenure

The Independent Trustee shall hold office for a three (3) year period.
