BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
The Boilermaker will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures, equipment, and components used in mining operations ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your key accountabilities include
- Fabricating, installing, and repairing metal structures and piping systems.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints . accurately
- Operating welding and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintaining workshop tools and equipment in proper working condition.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE
- National Craft Certificate in Welding and Fabrication
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a Boiler Maker
- Experience in the mining industry preferred
- Proven skills in steel fabrication
- Experience in the maintenance of mining infrastructure.
