BOARD SECRETARY AND LEGAL ADVISOR

Botswana Agricultural Marketing Board (BAMB) seeks the services of a qualified, innovative, results oriented and self-driven individual for the position of Board Secretary and Legal Advisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

To lead, direct and oversee the Board’s legal function and to provide Board Secretarial and governance services to the Board.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent.
• Admitted and enrolled to practice law in Botswana and holding a valid Practicing Certificate under the Legal Practitioners Act.
• A postgraduate degree or additional qualification in corporate governance would be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience in a legal advisory role. At least five (5) of these years should have been spent in a managerial leadership role with Board secretarial responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience in litigation and dispute resolution.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Botswana is essential.
