VACANCY CIRCULAR NO. 42 OF 2021
POST: BYE LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANT

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana Citizens for the above post tenable in Tutume Sub District Council.

SALARY:

B3\2 (P56 580 – P78 888) per annum

LEAVE:

20 Working days per annum

QUALIFICATION:

Certificate in Law\CriminalJustice or related field

EXPERIENCE:        NIL

BENEFITS:

Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government Pays 50% and employee pays 50%)

Contributory’ Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% employee pays 5%).

DUTIES:

1. Investigates cases involving violation of Bye-Laws and delegated legislation and takes appropriate action.
2. Conducts inspection of formal business sector with a view to take appropriate action.
3. Searched suspects and /or premises with or without warrant.
4. Conducts joint operations with other law enforcement agencies.
5. Conducts routine patrols.
6. Serves court documents (summons, subpoena, eviction orders).
7. Conducts Kgotla meetings to educate the community on Bye-Laws and delegated legislation.
8. Receives and registers reports.
9. Conducts auction sale and disposal of confiscated/unserviceable goods as directed by supervisor.
10. Registers labels and keeps exhibits safely.
11. Conducts research on matters concerning Bye-Laws and delegated legislation.
12. Maintains commitment ledger.
13. Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management.
