Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming environment for all internal and external customers
- Carry out daily cleaning of wards, theatres, support areas, consulting rooms, offices, waiting areas, corridors and ablutions per the cleaning schedule
- Use colour-coded cleaning equipment strictly according to designated areas
- Greet clients courteously and serve with a positive, professional attitude
- Damp-dust surfaces, fixtures and equipment; sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum and polish floors using correct methods and machinery
- Follow correct dilution and use of chemicals and store all chemicals safely and securely
- Listen to and address client concerns to the best of your ability, escalating where necessary
Requirements
- Form V / BGCSE or equivalent.
- Certificate in housekeeping, hygiene or cleaning services (desirable)
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ cleaning experience, preferably in a hospital, clinic or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of infection control and safe use of cleaning chemicals (desirable)
- Theatre/surgical cleaning experience (for the surgical variant) (desirable)
