TITLE: Community Development Facilitator

The Community Development facilitator will be responsible for delivering community-based interv entions on parenting and community mobilization programmes in Kgatleng.

Duties:

• Responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating Pinagare program in the District
• Responsible for recruiting and assessing caregivers and adolescents for Pinagare
• Responsible for facilitating Pinagare sessions for caregivers and adolescents
• Carry out Case Management
• Utilize and complete all programme monitoring tools to capture and track progress
• Produce reports weekly, monthly and quarterly for the Organization, donor and stakeholders.
• Conduct other duties that will promote the Organization and Programme.
• Provide stories for Social Media for Stepping Stones International.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent in social work, psychology, community development or family counselling.
• Basic programme management and leadership skills required.
• Background in community mobilization and outreach activities
• Strong facilitation skills and prior experience facilitating youth and / or family groups
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Setswana and English
• Knowledge of gender issues and programming in Botswana
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to deal with numerous priorities concurrently.
• Ability to mobilize and energize communities for action
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Previous experience working in community Projects.
• Capacity to work with people from various cultures and backgrounds
• Fluent in both Setswana and English
