Khwai Private Reserve has the following vacancies and invites suitably qualified personnel to submit their applications:

1. CONCESSION FACILITIES & LAND USE MANAGER

This role is central to ensuring that our facilities, fleet, and land resources are well maintained and sustainably managed to support concession operations as well as seamless guest operations. The ideal candidate will bring farm management or land-use experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage people, infrastructure, and natural resources in a remote safari environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of concession infrastructure, including camps, utilities, and workshops.
• Manage land-use activities: soil management, erosion control, bush clearing, firebreaks, and water systems.
• Supervise fleet operations (vehicles, tractors, machinery), ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Implement sustainable practices in energy, waste, and water management.
• Lead and mentor maintenance, grounds, and workshop teams.
• Ensure compliance with concession, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare and present regular operational and budget reports.

Requirements

• A minimum of Diploma in Agriculture, Farm Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in farm, facilities, or land management.
• Strong technical knowledge of water systems, machinery, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Practical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license (off-road driving experience an advantage).
• Experience in a remote or conservation environment will be a strong advantage

1. CONCESSION STANDARDS, SERVICES & CONSERVATION MANAGER

This role is central to ensuring that the concession operates at the highest standards of guest service, regulatory compliance, and conservation management. The incumbent will oversee

concession agreements, guest service quality, conservation initiatives, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with both company objectives and environmental sustainability principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with concession agreements, lease conditions, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor service standards across all departments.
• Oversee guest experience standards and address feedback constructively.
• Lead and coordinate conservation programs, including wildlife monitoring, habitat management, and other initiatives.
• Promote sustainable tourism practices that minimize environmental impact.
• Foster strong relationships with government authorities, conservation partners, and local communities.
• Produce reports on compliance, service quality, and conservation outcomes.
• Lead, train, and mentor staff to deliver excellence in service and conservation practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of Diploma in Conservation Management, Hospitality Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in conservation operations.
• Proven track record in conservation initiatives.
• Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work in remote areas and adapt to diverse challenges.
